Kronika polonii : bulletin of Council of Polish Organisations in the ACT Inc. ISSN 1448-1758
This mainly Polish language publication documents the life and events of the Polish community in Canberra and is written by members of the community. It contains articles, belles lettres, photographs, contacts list, forthcoming events including radio programs, birth and death notices.
It commenced publication in 1984 and is published 3 to 4 times a year from funds provided by the Professor J. Wilczynski Fund, supplemented by paid advertising and donations. An Editorial Board of several volunteers including an editor, advertising agent, professional journalists and graphic designers organise its production, printing and distribution. The journal is published by the Council of Polish Organisations in the ACT Inc. and printed in Canberra.
Its readership is primarily adult but does include a section for children. 1000 copies are published, 800 distributed to families in Canberra and another 200 sent interstate and overseas including Poland. The Jagiellonian University Library in Cracow and the National Library of Australia in Canberra have complete sets.
Members of the wider Australian community are invited to contribute and advertise.
