The Polish Women's Association, Canberra, was formed in 1959 and is one of the senior Polish organisations in the community.
It provides social support and welfare to its members and those of the Polish community. It maintains the Polish culture and traditions through its involvement in the various commemorative days. It supports activities involving the children of Polish ancestry such as dancing groups, scouts, girl guides. It raises its funds through its renowned cake stalls on Canberra Day and the National Multicultural Festival.
Some of its welfare activities include visiting the sick at home and in hospitals. It has a monthly session with Canberra Carers on health issues.
The Association meets at the Polish Australian White Eagle Club.
